Microdermabrasion is a painless, gentle but thorough cosmetic procedure that uses a mechanical medium for exfoliation to gently remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells from the epidermis. At Bella Pelle we offer a choice of either Crystal or Diamond Head Microdermabrasion.
The Diamond system microdermabrasion is using a diamond tip wand, with a vacuum suction and lymphatic drainage to exfoliate the skin. The Crystal Microdermabrasion system is a gentle process of “sand blasting” across the skin with inert crystals to remove dead skin cells from the surface reducing facial lines, wrinkles, sun damage and pigmentation. Microdermabrasion can be added to any of our treatment facials to intensify results by removing the outer most layers of dead skin and allowing products to penetrate deeper giving a stronger and lasting effect on the skin.
Circulation is stimulated to the surface of the skin instantly speeding up healing time within the skin and new skin growth is subsequently stimulated, leaving your skin smoother, brighter, firmer and with a course of treatments, blemish free.
With this treatment we combine microdermabrasion with a full facial treatment, using either an Enzymatic or AHA/BHA peel to soften oxidized oil in the pores & to loosen dead skin cells, perform extractions to completely clean the skin from any congestion, a stimulating massage and hydrating mask to ensure we are not just taking dead cells and debris away but also nourishing the skin afterwards.
The microdermabrasion process, first developed 15 years ago, has since been fully researched and tested by the European medical profession and is now being administered in full safety in the comfort of progressive medical and cosmetic practices.
The procedure is perfectly hygienic, painless and safe. It is an in and out procedure sometimes referred as lunch time peel because the procedure can be suited to the patients special concerns and does not require any major downtime. For treatments experienced during working hours the patient can even apply make up after the treatment. Depending on the skin problems to be treated, the level of exfoliation can be adjusted so that the treatment is pleasant or tolerable. If any slight redness does occur, this will fade within one to twenty four hours depending on the strength of the treatment chosen by the therapist in consultation with the patient.
