How to make an hour feel like a week- a clients point of view.

A certain foxy lady once said: ‘Yes I’m high maintenance. But I think you gotta be’. I couldn’t agree more. And whilst I have nothing on Kath Day-Night from Fountain Lakes, my life does revolve around six week cycles. I could plan my year in six week blocks. It’s when I make the trek from the Little Desert to the Mighty Murray for copious cups of tea in the form of family time and a trip to the beauty parlour. I like to call it the beauty parlour because it sounds a bit old fashioned and a bit special and my parlour of choice is Bella Pelle. Yep – it’s completely worth the 442km trip.
I think when you go to a beauty parlour you want to feel like you’re having a really special time and, for some reason, it’s reassuring when the beauty therapists are super friendly and dressed a bit like medical professionals – then you know it will be good.
There are a few things in my life I’m quite pedantic about and one (or two) of them is my brows. And the other is my feet. Which is weird because I don’t really like my feet and I have the worst cracked heels and dry skin. Well, I did. My six weekly routine involves getting my brows sorted and my feet trimmed – as my nan used to say.
What I love about Bella Pelle is this:

  1. The view. That funny old bridge and the lake have never looked so good.
  2. The floor. Polished concrete – cool, clean and crisp.
  3. The people. They are always genuinely lovely and happy and interested and they can never do enough for you. Coffee? Tea? Water? Snacks?
  4. The service. Obviously. But you get to sit down and choose from about 4532 colours for your toes while your feet are soaking in lovely warm water and resting on rocks that are just a little bit perfect to rest on.

They are the brow experts and easily get those little critters whipped into shape in no time so you actually feel like you have a face again.

I try to look after my feet better in between visits, but sometimes life gets in the way. Not to worry, Bella Pelle does the best pedicure I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a few to try to keep these heels under control. But none of them have ever come close to this. I don’t think my heels have been this soft since I was about 5. I also absolutely love the heat pack slippers. And after you’ve been there for about an hour, you feel like you’ve been on holidays for a week and you’re back in the game – ready to take on life.

And one final tip – do yourself a favour and get some of the body custard. Because when you’re far away and your next visit isn’t for a few weeks, you can lather it on and dream.

We would love to thank our beautiful client Hannah for her write up about our clinic and invite everyone to check out her blog, its hilarious!! https://tumbleweedsandtea.wordpress.com
